
Consumer Friend provides free, impartial information to help people across the UK understand their consumer rights. Led by experienced Trading Standards professionals, it aims to make consumer law simple, accessible and practical, supporting both consumers and businesses with clear guidance, education and advice. Consumer Friend also promotes inclusive services, recognising that any consumer can be vulnerable depending on their situation, circumstances or the complexity of the marketplace.

Alongside this wider consumer information work, Consumer Friend provides practical, expert-led training and support to help businesses and organisations understand, identify and respond to consumer vulnerability. Drawing on its Trading Standards and consumer law expertise, it helps teams communicate more effectively, design more inclusive services, reduce avoidable complaints, and give customers the right information at the right time so they can make informed choices.
